Trotter’s Run Update - October

All About Faith is loving her time at Trotter’s Run Farm! She gets carrots and a flake of hay Monday-Friday mornings at 6:30 A.M. and then is fed her grain around 8:30 A.M.

She then has the freedom to go outside or stay in the stall throughout the day.

She loves being outside and grazing in the grass.

She gets carrots or apples again in the afternoon for a midday snack.

After being fed in the evening around 6:00 she grazes awhile longer until it is time to close her back door so she can get some rest. She gets checked on one more time before the end of the night.

Faith has filled out a little too as she is on a mixed growth and protein grain which helps her pack on some weight that we can lean down when it is time to train.

Trainer Update

After speaking with Tyler the plan for now will be to bring Faith back to the track the week of Thanksgiving to do some light jogging and work out a few of those muscles that haven’t been in use for a couple of months.   Beginning in December the plan will be to make sure she gets jogged each day and then possibly turn her back out for a week or so before conditioning begins in January.  If things go as planned, the goal will be to train her down in January and then qualify her in February to try and get a conditional overnight race in at Miami Valley the beginning of March.  As Miami Valley releases their schedule for the season, we may adjust to potentially get her in a mini-series for non-winners of 2 pari-mutuel races or something of the like.  Stay tunned and in the meantime enjoy the gallery of pictures and videos of those whom have gotten the chance to visit her.
